Risk Management Series

This series of courses are designed to help manage risk to residents, staff and facilities. The first class in this series provides the knowledge and technical framework to begin improving quality, safety and health throughout a facility. The classes that follow are focused on specific health and safety issues. The following courses are currently available:

 

Part #1: Risk Management for LTC facilities (4 Hours - $30) Must Have!

 

Part #2: Heat Related Illness (2 Hours - $20)

 

Part #3: Fall Injuries (4 Hours - $30)

 

Part #4: Bowel & Bladder Problems (4 Hours - $30)

 

Part #5: Pressure Ulcers (4 Hours - $30)

 

 

Emergency Preparedness Series

This series of classes is designed to prepare residents, staff and facilities for natural and man made disasters. This material includes important information on terrorism and other issues of domestic violence. The first 2 courses are focused on individuals, families and households. We also have several courses under development that includes material for larger organizations. The following courses are currently available:

 

Part #1: Understanding Emergencies (4 Hours - $30)

 

Part #2: Emergency Preparedness (4 Hours - $30)

 

 

Facility Development Series

This is a series of coursed developed to help Owners and Administrators develop and market their facilities more effectively. The first class in the series includes an extensive “self analysis” toolset to help facilities clearly understand and define their strengths, weaknesses and ultimate position in the LTC market. The second class uses this analysis to develop a marketing plan, performance goals and target markets.

Medication Management Series

This is an important series of classes that should be maintained at the facility after the course is completed. This important reference guide will assist staff in the management, preparation and administration of medications. The material contains information on prescription, over the counter and complementary medications.

Caregiver Training Series

This is a growing series of courses designed for caregivers and others associated with adult care. The first class begins with the employment and New Hire process that is critical to the successful selection and placement of caregivers in eldercare facilities. Future classes will focus on skill training, resident care and the efficient and effective operations of an LTC facility.
